I WENT SHOPPING FOR WOOL AND CAME BACK WITH A CHAMELEON

Phew. I have just got back from the Knitting and Stitching show at the Nec. I went with my knitting pal Joanne and her knitting pal Emma.

As soon as we walked in I knew I was going to enjoy the show. There in front of me was the Colinette stand.

I bought the Arboretum book which features accessories using the new silk Tao and the new mohair Parisienne. I am going to knit a scarf (on the left in the picture), crochet a scarf (on the right) and knit a wrap cardigan out of the Parisienne book (in the middle). I then looked through the book and saw a crocheted necklace and got some more Tao (front).

We then went to the Hipknits stand. That is where I bought my chameleon. I fell in love with a hank of cream cashmere. It felt gorgeous. I had to have it. I asked the price - £15! I bought a pattern for yet another wrap cardi which uses just one hank. What a bargain!!!!

As you can see from the picture it wasn't cream, but a lovely shade of pink. The lighting was so bad in there that it wasn't until we got outside that we realised the yarn was pink. I love pink.

The shopping didn't stop there. I lost count of the times that we all went back to Colinette, but I didn't get any more yarn from there. I found a lovely mohair on the Get Knitted stand. It is Angel Hair from Hand Maiden. I don't know what I am going to knit or even crochet with it, but I am sure it will be from the Parisienne book.

I don't know what to do first. It might be the crochet necklace. Will keep you posted on what I decide to do and how I get on. Bye for now. Got to wind a hank into a ball. All my yarn is in hanks which delays things bit when you are dying to get started.
